This Privacy Policy explains how Aashayein Arts (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you register for, take part in, or watch videos on the Buddhu Banaya contest platform.
Information we collect
Depending on whether you join as a contestant or a viewer, we may collect:
- Your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, gender, address and pincode
- Your city, state, education, occupation and father’s name (contestants only, for eligibility verification)
- A profile photo and social media links you choose to add
- The video you upload as your contest entry
- Payment details processed via our payment partner, Razorpay (we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details ourselves)
- Basic technical information such as your IP address and browser, used only for security and to measure how videos are watched
How we use your information
- To register and verify your entry, and to process your registration fee payment
- To let you invite viewers, and to track invite and viewership progress
- To review, edit and publish contest video entries, and to judge and score them
- To display your name, city, photo, video and score on the public leaderboard and video pages once published
- To send you emails about your registration, payment, video status and contest updates
- To contact you if there’s an issue with your entry or payment
Who we share it with
We share the minimum information necessary with:
- Razorpay, to process your registration payment
- Brevo, our email delivery provider, to send you account and contest emails
- Our video hosting provider, to store and stream published contest videos
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
What’s public
Once your video is published, your contestant name, city, profile photo, video and score become visible to anyone visiting the site — this is a public contest and visibility is part of how it works. Your email, mobile number, address and other registration details are never shown publicly.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in and to remember basic preferences. We don’t use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us to correct inaccurate information about you, or to tell you what information we hold. If you’d like your account removed after the contest ends, contact us using the details below and we’ll action it, subject to any records we’re required to keep for payment or legal purposes.
